SUV enthusiasts who truly appreciate and anticipate special-edition models will be pleased to know that Jeep recently released two new vehicles at the LA Auto Show, namely the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry and the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Night. Both the vehicles have received huge likeability from car freaks, due to their unique styling cues and tougher designs, and have instantly become the top choices for most SUV lovers. For more information about the Backcountry and the SRT Night, take a look below:
2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry
The all-new 2016 Wrangler Backcountry perfectly combines off-road capability and strength to tackle the toughest winter months. It is inspired from the Wrangler Sahara model, but instead of boasting desert-like vehicle cues, it features a unique winter capability theme. Underneath the hood is a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that generates a massive 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
Noticeable exterior features include a black fuel fill door, 17-inch Rubicon wheels (painted in Mid-Gloss Black) for better grip, unique off-road rear and front powder coated bumpers, and Backcountry decals on the rear quarter panels and front fender. The vehicle is also available in five colors: Xtreme Purple, Granite Crystal, Bright White, Black, and Hydro Blue.
Inside, the Wrangler Backcountry features Piano Black grab handles, vent rings, and door handle. Standard options include a nine-speaker premium Alpine sound system, all-weather slush mats, black McKinley Leather seat bolsters, and vinyl-rapped door armrests and console lid with expensive Diesel Gray accent stitching.
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night
The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night is a pure-bred beast that boasts a black stealth-like premium appearance with the roof, performance, wheels, side windows, B and C pillars, front grille bezels and rear spoiler all bejeweled in Gloss Black paint. Even the front applique, rear liftgate, and the badging on the hood have a Satin Black applique, ensuring the vehicle lives up to its ‘SRT Night’ name.
However, this doesn’t mean the vehicle isn’t available in different colors – The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night can be purchased in Granite Crystal, Billet Silver, and Velvet Red. Performance upgrades are somewhat standard and the SRT Night features a basic 6.4-Liter V8 Engine that delivers 470 lb-ft of torque and 475 horsepower, coupled with a new Fuel Saver Technology, a Selec-Track Traction Control System and an adaptive damping suspension.
This enables the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 60 mph within 4.8 seconds and 100 mph in 16.3 seconds, while topping out at a speed of 160 mph. Inside, a dual-screen rear entertainment system, a full-size spare tire, three-season tires, a 19-speaker 825-watt Harman Kardon Stereo System, and a dual-pane sunroof has also been added.
So, when are these two vehicles going to hit the market? Well, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry has been in showrooms since late November, while the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night is set to arrive in showrooms sometime in 2016.
